Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years ahead?
« on: August 28, 2012, 05:13:39 am »

I'm looking forward to get my Masters in IT Networking and HOPEFULLY learn and understand c++ (ffs), python and java. Maybe work at my brothers company while doing my masters.

Where do you guys see yourself? Heck, to the GES devs I can see you guys working for big game companies.

Well hopefully by then I'd have my Computer Science & IT degree got and would be working somewhere in that sector (perhaps with a private company either here or overseas). I'd also like to have a nice house not too near a city with a decent car and just to live a comfortable ordinary life.

I'm looking forward to get my Masters in IT Networking

Best of luck with that!

Am I the only one around here who doesn't want a career in IT?

I am currently in my last year of my pharmacy degree. When I finish this, next year I will be a Pharmacist Intern, then after I have my year of experience and pass my final exam, I will be a fully qualified pharmacist.

After this, I want to spend a few months travelling, then find a job, make lots of money, whilst studying to be an Accredited Pharmacist, who can go around to people's houses to optimise their medication.

During this time, I hopefully marry the man of my dreams. Keep working. Have a baby, whilst at the same time saving to start up my own pharmacy.

All this before I am 30. I am 21 now. Which is entirely possible. And this isn't something I have thought up today either. I am a dreamer and I always give myself goals. I wanted to be a pharmacist since I was 8 years old, so I am living proof you can fulfil life-long dreams.

Not in Australia. There are too many pharmacists and because of that, they are paying us even less these days, in particular the fact that everything is run by the government and they are giving us less money.

I'm also NOT in the IT branch. Studying Mechanical Engineering here. Hopefully, in 5-10 years, I'll be working in an engineering company.

Thank you :) I have no idea what pharmacy school is like in Ireland. All I know is that with my degree, I can go work in New Zealand or the UK. I looked into transferring my degree in America, but I can't do it. You need to have done a recognised 5 year pharmacy degree. In Australia, ours are only 4...

I'm not entirely sure myself, but I know his degree is a 5 year one and that the last year is spent in professional placement with a Pharmacy that is in liaison with the college. I think once he has graduated after the 5 years he will have a Masters in Pharmacy too or something
