Right after i wrote that it kinda hit me that this game is ment to be fun not realistic. so never mind

Not nessecarily true. You could easily put that kind of supressor on a P90. Either way things like this need to be exageratted in games and movies or its just plain dull.

If you read me correctly i said it's not common.  The P90 is not a common weapon, maybe in some special units belonging to foreign countries but not one that i've ever worked with anyways.   ;)

True enough. But if your American or British (guess) then some of your armed police units use them :P

I wouldnt know about that (no i'm not either) but i could guess that the most likely users would be the french or germans and would almost exclusively be used in anti-terror or close protection units.  Also i'd guess the Australians as well because they seem to be fans of the bull pup weapon design of the AUG (but thats just a guess though)

I thought "bobbies" only carried whack-'em sticks.

You should take a look at the muzzleflashes from GoldenEye 007, the game we're recreating. This isn't exactly a realism mod.

+1

A perhaps unnoticed example within the examples being the spent ammo flying from a random spot on the P-90s. ::)
(The P-90 dispenses straight down.)

As long as the flashes aren't ludicrous or too stylized, I'm happy.

It's not a P-90, it's the RCP-90, so it has not to be exactly like the P-90.
There's a 80 rounds clip in it, while the P-90 has somewhat about 30 rounds.

So... +1 to SSL.

Actually a P90 does carry 80 rounds per magazine. Also the RCP90 was from the bond film The Living Daylights, where it was just a P90 painted white with a perspex shield on it. Anyway this is getting offtopic lol (i have an airsoft P90 so i tend to ramble lol)

To be clear, I was supporting SSL's point of GE:S not being a realistic mod.

On muzzle flashes:
I've actually been curious as to whether or not the flashes will match GE007's when all is said and done. (shape or size)
Any idea?

~Edit:

I'm aware of this post:
We intend on going to full particle effects for our muzzle flashes at some point, but we don't have very many skilled particle people...

Just wondering if the majority or all created flashes will match.

Hate to rain on your parades, but Goldeneye (N64) wasn't a simulator, and the developers didn't have access to the kind of things we have access to today. Chances are good that they just guessed, what with the Internet still young back then, and Youtube-less.

In a nutshell: The old Goldeneye N64 developers probably got their effects from the Bond movies, so we can pretty much do what we like, though both sides are sure to keep complaining, no matter what we do.

Just wondering if the majority or all created flashes will match.

Most of the muzzleflashes were made in Beta 3.x, the only problem is that most of the source files for the weapon models are missing so they can't be recompiled with the appropriate muzzleflashes.
