Scroll down to DD44.
Interesting page. (Along with the link within the DD44 description.)
Though there seem to be some inaccuracies and missing info in there...

(And I start a new page.)

The DD44 is supposed to be blocky, it's supposed to look not-like the TT33 because the weapon in Goldeneye 007 looks not-like the TT33.

My personal opinion is that the GES DD44 doesn't look right because it looks very thin to me for some reason.

I should probably make all the models 20 polygons then.

Good news for our low-framerate guys.

Who says my DD44 is blocky?... And I did model the DD44 after the TT33, just to be clear.

The DD44 is supposed to be blocky, it's supposed to look not-like the TT33 because the weapon in Goldeneye 007 looks not-like the TT33.

My personal opinion is that the GES DD44 doesn't look right because it looks very thin to me for some reason.

After all I was right. It's just a suggestion: make the DD44 resemble the one in GE007, but make it as a replacement, sort of like a custom model, apart from the mod itself and see how may people download it and ask for their feedback on it, just to see what's the people's opinion about the gun. To be honest it was a bit of a disappointment the moment I saw the DD44 had been replaced by a TT33 (the model it was intended to be modeled after in the first place). The "magic" of the DD44 resided in the fact that it was big, loud and looked great when dual-wielded. That's what made you choose it on Archives despite you could get better weapons on that mission. Not saying your TT33 model is bad, in fact it is very detailed and well made.

If you were ever to do the DD44 like in the original, you wouldn't need to do it blocky; instead you could had much more detail and still maintain the overall shape of the gun, along with its bulkiness.

Since this a bout the sniper rifle, what's your word about it? Because I'd really like to hear it.

I didn't model the Sniper Rifle, but to be honest, I like the model itself but I don't like how it fits for GoldenEye. Doesn't look right in first person. Probably should have been modeled with a different sniper rifle as reference.

Regarding the DD44, is there a specific real-life gun that better resembles the DD44 from the original game, other than the TT33? If you can convince me enough, maybe I'll change the model.

The HiPoint JCP is pretty close.  The DD44 appears to have a longer barrel, but that's not a big deal.

The one VC pointed out is close enough and just needs the barrel lenghtened and some new colors. I will try to find other guns that you could draw inspiration from to remake the model.

I can tell you that this is a good place to start looking.

You guys really want me to model a new weapon, don't you?

If that's the case, I'm still not convinced. ;)

WE WANT.

I'll look up for more pistols to get you more information. I'll do my best to get you to remodel it.

WE WANT DD44 BACK.

I think I might open a thread to discuss this subject. Do you agree (I don't want to clutter the forum with unnecessary threads)?

The DD44 model is important since I'm switching it and PP7S in the Pistols loadout, meaning even more spawn-with-DD44 action.

Yes.  That's been established for years.

This thread is about how the DD44 in GES just doesn't look like the DD44 in Goldeneye, and that the general consensus is that a less-TT33 more-DD44 DD44 would make for a better DD44.

DD44 has a lot more grip and thickness to it than the real TT33.
