El Dudereno:
Can't we just disable VAC temporarily like this server Mario mentioned or is that a bad idea?

It's not necessarily VAC. SRCDS makes no attempt to validate a Steam account if it's started with -insecure. (if it were VAC, you'd be getting a VAC connection error.) Server ops could try this temporarily, but I dread that option, even if the ratio of hacking accusations to actual hackers is 50000:1.

You mean like this?

Avocado Bone Flower:
It's been like this for many days now, I was secretly hoping it'd go away before some Friday night gaming. Alas...

bvav22:
I have been testing this out. I cannot connect to any of the servers listed. However if I host a server through my game client, people can connect with no invalid ticket error.

When I host with my dedicated server, myself and others cannot connect due to the invalid ticket error. I have tried it both secure and unsecured. The only way it seems to play on a server currently is to host through the game client?

Edit:

Apparently this is a steam issue. I read on the steam forums that having the steam client running on the machine with the dedicated the server is a temp fix. I do have a server running now and it is working. My server is called BVAV's Goldeneye Source 4.2.4 if anyone wants to play.
