6AM in Honolulu
« on: June 04, 2012, 01:05:40 am »

I installed a new LED disco ball in my favorite club last night. I decided to whip out my phone and film some of the madness I regularly partake in.

It's past 6AM at the time of filming, and the place is still bumping.

I probably should have mentioned that the audio levels in the video may very well give you ear cancer.

I think any version of any song dealing with Levels would give you ear cancer at this point. The ball looks great though. Nice job.

Etta James' "Good Feeling" sample wasn't first used in Levels (I hate that track with a passion)... I actually relate the sample to Pretty Light's Finally Moving, a much much better song that came out six years ago. Screw Avicii.

Pretty Lights is actually has some very legit sounds. I've been listening to him for about five months or so now.

I used to like Pretty Lights, but too many of their songs sound the same.

I ended up giving Pretty Lights a ride to a show a couple of months ago. I picked up a DJ, then he insisted we go pick up his friends. One of his friends was talking about Pretty Lights... then I realized it WAS pretty lights. Pretty funny how that works. I guess he was in Hawaii for a couple weeks.
