Changed resolution and now game wont start
« on: May 15, 2011, 08:55:29 am »

So I installed the mod and everything worked fine. I was fiddling with the resolution and I must have changed it to a resolution my monitor didn't like because the whole screen went flashing and I had to alt tab out and end the game from the task manager. Now the game is stuck on the non working resolution and every time I try to start it tells me it failed to create a direct 3d device and it crashes.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the game hoping it would go back to default resolution so I could play but it doesn't seem to work. I don't even know where it is saving the option to have it on the non working resolution.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Try right-clicking on Goldeneye : Source in your library, Properties, Launch options and type in "-windowed" without the quotes.
I think this is the right command, Unsure though. Give it a try!

Tried it, the window briefly flashes then disappears.

putting:

Code: [Select]
-autoconfig

instead of -windowed, will reset settings to stock.
