So What can we expect for 4.2?
Rick Astley:
anyway...back on topic will there be any new updates for Goldeneye Source because lately i havent seen anyone play it online and im well as much as i really love Goldeneye Source (believe me i love it) it just feels a bit well....i dont know needs some fuel injected if you know what i mean
killermonkey:
I see at least 10-15 people playing online every night. 30-40 on weekends....
Yes, it needs some fuel injection, but there is only so much we can do on our free time ;-D

Something fueling the interest?
How about an epic announcement on the next release date (even if it's vague), a video showing prototype bots or a list of the things that have been completed since 4.1 and what is currently being worked on?
Then again, I wonder how many people would become interested that aren't interested already - at least something like that would be something I'm interested in. ^^
CCsaint10:
Your last statement is what 99.9% of community members in mod communities and in the gaming world want. It takes a lot of effort to make a "epic" announcement and that just takes away from the free time they have. This is exactly what Black Mesa stopped doing as well (although they are kind of in the grey area right now with nothing for 2 years or so), but the concept still applies. News and media will come, just be patient and play. :)

As long as you don't monitor our playtime and make a release depending on it - like, you know, Portal 2. ^^
The tracklist of the soundtrack for Black Mesa had been posted recently - and it says on their forums they plan to release the game within 2 weeks after they released the soundtrack. (concerning updates I heard they had a wiki and a youtube channel)
