This literally turns your PC into a Wii:-

http://www.dolphin-emulator.com/

And it has high compatibility with Gamecube and Wii games.

LOL

There is comparability with PC games but then again the wii control can do similar but you need third party software to use it i hear one of them is called GlovePie  http://glovepie.org/
playing HL with a WII control   (there is also a windows app)

another demo in Sixence

http://www.engadget.com/photos/razer-hydra-sixense-motion-controller-eyes-on/#3776384

Do you sit on this while playing?
I don't recommend it it aint a rear end control  ;D

I've been following Dolphin since around '07 (back when it was hot shit that they could sort of run Smash Bros. Melee) and they sure have come a long way.

I always use this program at parties, I have my friends all bring Xbox controllers and we play Brawl in HD widescreen at 60 FPS from my computer with surround sound. Funny how an emulator can provide a better experience than the actual console (I do own an actual Wii as well but Dolphin completely trumps it, and it fried from a power surge anyway).

The best part is that I can use all my Wii hardware without any additional software (save a bluetooth dongle I bought for $10) so I can play everything in HD while still using the Wii controller + nunchuck, the classic controller, my keyboard, my Xbox/Logitech Controller, or anything else with buttons.

What kind of system do you own? I've tried some games on Dolphin before but I could never break 30FPS.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66 GHz
Nvidia Geforce 9500 GS (512 MB)
6 GB DDR2
1.75 TB Local HDD Space

It's an okay computer, it can run all GCN games totally fine, and on some Wii games it absolutely dies (Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy) while on others I can get it to hover around 40-60 FPS (Brawl, Mario Kart).

It's really all about how much time you spend tweaking the plugins, depending on which configurations I use inside the emulator I can make some games range from unplayable to full framerate just by adjusting the settings.

Yeah that's probably it. I didn't get around plugins too much, I just set up the basic stuff and hit "Play" because my System is quite the same, You have more RAM and HDD space but I have a newer GPU and a more recent processor model, I have no idea what's the difference between these two processors though.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66 GHz
4GB DDR2 800MHz
ATI Sapphire 5670 1GB HD
500GB Local HDD Space + 1TB External

I guess I should get to optimizing my settings more, Because all GCN games wouldn't run over 30-35 FPS, Which is fine by me, But the more the better.

Honestly, the way I see it... Consoles are going to eventually merge back into computers. Take a look at what all was added to the current generation consoles. Web browsers, media playback, online play (mainstream and integrated in all consoles), text and voice chat support, and digital distribution as well.

The fanboys of yore will disagree with me about this, but I honestly don't see it any other way. Down the road, the one set will merge into the other.

I can see the PC stay relevant for at least the next 10 years and with the new gaming stuff I think gyroscope goodness will enter the PC market is some way.

Hell I'm making a proof of concept game for school with a Wiimote, just like almost anybody at my school; they all pick some way of motion and position tracking.

Didi you know that the Kinect will be supported out of the box in Windows 8?
