VC's Laboratory 90327: Musings

<< < (2/4) > >>

VC:
RC-P90 does 90%. There is nothing wrong with base damages because it works well with all other weapons. Except shotguns, but they're weird.  RC-P90 is in a special position to exploit low base invuln, unlike ZMG (fast) and Phantom (strong) which have generous recoil to balance them.

RC-P90 is supposed to be a monster, but this 500ms base invuln is a silly buff.  500ms also affects shotguns.  You can get double-tapped by a shotgun, which should not happen.  Shotguns are supposed to allow refire before invuln ends.  But going from 666 to 500 means shotguns, which are about 575ms refire if I recall correctly, go from a normal weapon to a spam weapon.  And then that plays into the RC-P90 vs. Automatic Shogtun saga.  Auto still doesn't seem strong enough to combat an RC-P90, and I've buffed beyond recognition already; I'd much rather have Goldeneye invuln to go with my Goldeneye weapon than to try to find some sneaky way to make Automatic Shotgun strong enough to fight RC-P90 and not make it ugly in other weapon sets.

500ms has served its purpose: to break-in noobs who have no clue that invuln even exists.  Now that everyone is up to speed on how Goldeneye functions, I want to get on-spec.

Yes on both. I understand that the P90 and the Klobb are supposed to be unbalanced, but at the moment it is a bit of a funkiller.

Doc.NO:
yes on 1. RPC needs to be nerfed down, it takes away the fun when noobs-spammer are around.

no on 2. I like the KLOBB-LOL feeling. Klobb must stay as crap as possible.

drukqaddik:
i say no to both.

1.) just make it higher up on the appear list so it doesnt spawn as often

2.)i love the klobb as it is. its a cool feeling when you kill someone with it.
