I've been waiting for this for the past year and a half (or so). I am very glad you all decided to take your time and develop this right instead of just quickly. And after waiting all of that time, waiting one more week is nothing. It'll be here before we know it.

Thank you all for all of your hard work and dedication. I cannot wait to see how many people fill the servers come this Saturday.

It will likely be released at night, for bandwidth reasons.

Can you get everything that you need to play in a single download or would you need to download every single map?

I would assume it would be a single download, since the other releases were that way as well.

Third Party maps, are a different story though. They would either be downloaded manually and put in the Map folder, or download off the server you are trying to join.

Along with mirrors on various sites like moddb, filefront, our site etc. I will also be posting a mirror on my site to help relieve a little bit of the stress of the server that are running our forums. But ya it has been a blast playing (other than vc being unkillable) and testing the last few weeks.

Why not use ModDB and it's 2 other main services to host it, so then we don't want to worry about server strain?

I can only hope I get my computer back by the weekend next week as the video card burned up in my dell laptop and I won't be able to play till they ship it back...and the funny part was...it burned up when I was playing carrighan institute in GE:S 1.1h. I was like...OH MAN!! Stupid dell.....this is the second time i have overheated my video card and had to send it back. Hopefully it won't die when I am playing beta 3.
