Post a side-by-side, but I vote dark barrel.  The chrome one reminds me of a varmint-model rifle.

I made the chrome barrel to create a little contrast, and it serves as another excuse to env map it and reflection map it.
I like both, however; and whichever one gets used is fine with me.

i still think the chrome is pimped out

but its kinda up to the comunity to chose with this one cause both look really nice, might have to do it in the end where your pickup would be random for either chrome or black tyhat might be a good compromise too

Try it with chrome and see if anyone cares.  KF7 was always the Big Black Stick, but if people like the chrome, go for it.

you could make a neat game-mode out of it, 'Curse of the varmint' and its like everyone sees him on radar and he can only make headshots to kill his mass enemy.. when you run over the varmint after you kill him you get the weapon
