(1/2) > >>

I really need help setting up The Hammer, i read Mangley's instructions on how do to it, but it still giving me errors. Steam is installed in my Program files(x86). I copied and pasted the configuration file and replaced the "username" with my own like it said to. If anyone could help me with this i would appreciate it.

Nevermind, Excidium walked me through the process. Thanks buddy :D.

I know there is a post for this but I used it and got nowhere for ges 4.1 but it worked for RC   here is a 4.1 config ....just replace "USERNAME" on all lines with yours from steam. This is if your directory is (x86)

      "Goldeneye: Source - 4.1"
         "GameDir"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\gesource"
            "GameData0"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\gesource\goldeneye.fgd"
            "GameData1"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin\base.fgd"
            "TextureFormat"      "5"
            "MapFormat"      "4"
            "DefaultTextureScale"      "0.250000"
            "DefaultLightmapScale"      "16"
            "GameExe"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\\Source SDK Base 2007\hl2.exe"
            "DefaultSolidEntity"      "func_detail"
            "DefaultPointEntity"      "prop_static"
            "BSP"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin\vbsp.exe"
            "Vis"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin\vvis.exe"
            "Light"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin\vrad.exe"
            "GameExeDir"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\username\Source SDK Base 2007"
            "MapDir"      "C:\maps\dev"
            "BSPDir"      "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\sourcemods\gesource\maps"
            "CordonTexture"      "tools\toolsskybox"
            "MaterialExcludeCount"      "0"
   "SDKVersion"      "3"

put this here and name it GameConfig:   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\YOURUSERNAME\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin

Blame Valve!  :D

Yep, copy the code into a notepad/wordpad file, save it as gameconfig.txt and put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\YOURUSERNAME\sourcesdk\bin\source2007\bin

You have to replace every instance of "username" in it with your steam account name though, and if you use a 32bit OS you have to remove the " (x86)" from program files.
