Hi, I saw on ModDB that you guys are in need of a new web designer, and hopefully I can help out.

I've been doing web design and development for about 4 years, although mostly development. I am a PHP/MySQL programmer, with my work being on a game and other small applications I have been asked to help with. I not a professional by any means, I do this for fun. I am proficient with Photoshop, Flash, and 3dsmax albeit not to great at modelling.

Here is a link to a sample I threw togeather in Photoshop about an hour ago -- I would love to hear any crits/comments you may have about it, and I am more than willing to send you guys the psd file.



If you would like more samples of other websites I have worked on just ask.

Regarding the sample you've provided: The colour scheme does not coincide with GE:S at all. Also, the links are quite difficult to read, and the font choices are generally bland. The entire page looks pretty generic, and it doesn't appear that you've put a whole lot of thought into it. I'd like to see something a little more stylized, and I'd like to see more original artwork (not just snagging existing banners and world maps).

I like what you did with the menu here, but you need to use a different color for the menu options so it stands out.  That particular shade isn't going to work.  I'd use white for the current selection and probably some shade of grey or gold for the inactive ones.

would you guys like me to convert it all to a working site, or redesign it? i can do either rather quickly.

about why i chose red for the background: black is very un-inviting, and although it looks nice with your current website there is not much you can do with it color scheme wise. red may have not been the best choice, but its the first color that came to my head when i looked at the DVD case for goldeneye (there is a big explosion in the background) while i'm thinking about it, is there anything you guys would like to see on there? if i am going to spend the time working on this i would like to do it correctly, and have a site the dev team is proud of and likes to use/look at.
