Oh snap - $2.99 + 5 bucks shipping. Just got it yesterday, haven't played it yet though. If you have played it, any thoughts?? Worth the money? lol

While it's no Goldeneye, I would rate it the 2nd best bond game. I definitely got some entertainment from it, and it's a later gen N64 game with pretty good graphics for it's time. You made a good buy.

the soundtrack definately isn't the best, but some of them aren't too bad. (they mimic the movie score, not the 007 theme all that much)

I haven't played it but would expect it would be better than watching the film, which I thought was the worst of the Pierce Brosnan era.

Well, I've played some now and I must say that I do enjoy the game. It doesn't have the same feeling for me as GE64 does, of course, but it's definitely not too bad. Multiplayer is ok, I like the fact that they started using bots....and some of the level seem like they would be really fun in GE:S.

EXCUSE THE MASSIVE BUMP:

But I didn't feel the need to make "another" TWINE thread.

I always enjoyed this one so much. I feel like this is EA's best effort on riding on the coattails of N64 GoldenEye. I felt as both the singleplayer and multiplayer really shined in this game.

You had sooooooooooo many characters to choose from in multiplayer. The only thing that sucked was that you couldn't have two "good guys" go toe-to-toe if it was free-for-all.

Instanbul was my favorite multiplayer level... Followed by the snowy level with the gargandolas. (:

But my question is... why do YOU think this game never outshined GoldenEye?

I never played TWINE, but I've seen some videos and stuff.

I think that it never outshined GoldenEye because GE was not only the game that brought a complete revolution to consoles but also because it was the first movie-to-game conversion that actually was good (too good in fact). GoldenEye was pieced together with mastery; from the levels to the weapons, everything fit in GoldenEye, even the NPC animations. It became a classic and it is very hard to beat a classic. People still wanted GoldenEye because it was taken in such high regard and it was made by Rare. TWINE wasn't made by them and given the fact that the last successful Bond game had been made by Rareware, perhaps people though a bit low of TWINE.

That was my opinion on the subject. Hope you liked to hear (better, read it).

GE had great game play, graphics were OK. i think, when they made the game, that they were more focused on great gameplay, then they were on graphics. TWINE was an OK game. i much preferred Perfect Dark though.

At this stage I don't think I'll bother buying TWINE because I have no-one to play it with.
