I've downloaded this several times now, and cannot even get to the main menu. It crashes instantly, every time. I've set compatibility and verified cache for source sdk 2007. Nothing seems to work, can anyone help me fix this? thanks.

Have you tried installing this? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Make sure you're getting the 32-bit version (vcredist_x86.exe). Microsoft's site is dumb sometimes and will give you the x64 version anyways.
