I feel like these need pictures to go with them! More like a traditional "post your setup" thread :)

Desktop:
AMD FX8320@3.5Ghz (8 core)
16GB DDR3@1600Mhz
ASRock 970 Extreme4
Palit GTX 650Ti Boost 2GB
Samsung 250GB SSD 840EVO
+ WD HDD (1x1TB, 1x2TB 1x250GB)=3.25TB
24'' Samsung SyncMaster SA300

Laptop:
Acer Aspire V-3 771g-...1TMaii
17.3'' i7 3630QM
8GB DDR3 RAM
geforce GT 650M
1TB HDD
Upgraded with:
250GB Samsung SSD 840EVO+250GB mSATA

First i bought the mSATA but then i learnt that it is not bootable with the Motherboard.
So i got another 840EVO and keept the mSATA, too.

As for upgrading plans on the Desktop system, i think i'll wait for AMD and nVidea to launch their new products this year and keep an eye on discounts for their current stuff like 980Ti.
Processor wise i'm pretty much on a dead end with the AM3+ Sockel.
So anything bigger then a FX9xxx won't work.

Since i don't play many new AAA-Games these days i guess the setup will still be good enough for the next 1-2 years.

More important would be a newer Laptop with more power, since i constantly hit the limits on it and the i7 and/or GPU seems to be slightly malfunctioning when running for a few hours on hardware demanding stuff like rendering/baking.

I thought about something like an ASUS ROG or MSI GT72 but currently the price/value relation is a little off.
Once they offer the good stuff for under 2000€ i considder buying one as a desktop replacement.
Also it wouldn't hurt to have models with bigger display then 17.3'' or 18.4''.

A 21'' notebook would be ideal.
