Why Bass has been away

Lately I've been working for night clubs in parallel with my school in order to develop new lighting technology. The tech is meant for the Solar Decathlon competition that my school will be competing in next year, but clubs are paying me for prototypes. I'm happy that I managed to keep my work music related.
This video shows my office with my lights reacting to music. Next week, I'll be installing these in a couple of night clubs in town.

I was texting a female. No joke, just fucked her and got home.
And heres a little side story. After visualizing music in badass ways, I started to realize what was actually lacking in my mixes. This crap helps me learn a hell of a lot.

The LED strip was $220, but theres a half density version for $150. An arduino costs $25, then you're just left with wiring and programming.

So it turns out I'm being sponsored by the owner of Tetris. Now I'm making an entire wall LED display of 32 x 320 for 10240 individually controllable LEDs. Now I just need an easy way to transfer 31kB per frame at 30fps... thats almost a megabyte per second... not looking forward to that. So how the hell does compression work? lol
