How do you play GE source single player??

I found out about GES while researching on how to play the classic on the PC, Ive followed the instructions from the Wikipedia style pages and installed using steam , then installing the 505 MB beta file. It works and runs , but it only gives me the options of create server,find server GE achievements..etc

How do I play it single player, like in all the videos ive seen of it on you tube,, help me please!!!??

The current version of Goldeneye: Source does not contain a singleplayer portion, unfortunately.

What videos are you talking about?

You must be talking about the Multiplayer videos...

GoldenEye Source doesn't, and has never had single-player. It's all multiplayer. Go look for some servers, or create your own.

The videos you've seen are likely done in Gmod. There are a couple remakes up on YouTube.

Was this the one you were looking at?

Yes i saw some great videos too in youtube.
One video was very cool.
Someone ( i forgot the name ) made a ingamevideo from facility.
It was EXACTLY like in the movie. There was front- and backzone from facility.
007 comes out fro toilet, go into meeting room from facility like in the movie.
James and Alec are fighting together to the bootling room.
( It´s like in GoldenEye 007, only with trevelyan and more enemies ).
Then they enter the bootling room. Bond went down to the big bottles and placed the bombers.
At the same time Ouromov shot the the window, go down and then he said "Hear is Ouromov, Come out. You have ten seconds". It´s like in the movie, but only with GoldenEye: Source graphic.
It was unbeliveable. Very cool. A real singelplayer mission, but i don´t find the viedeo anymore. Bad. But the one who made that, was/is a programmer. I don´t know who..
But i know it´s existiing, and it seems that is not so difficult to make that.

Best way to play single player is to download Project 64 and run it as a ROM. Framerate drops occasionally and the sound and controls are definitely worse but it can soothe your hunger. I've replayed it recently on an emulator because my tv broke down.

That's if you can get an N64 controller to USB adapter; The experience gets crapped on without it.
Also, depending on your luck and patience, you're likely to have a hell of a time getting it to run smoothly, and to get the visuals not looking awful. (No skies, etc.)

Then getting it working online is a ballgame all on its own.
In the end I said "Aw FUCK THIS SHIT" and gave up.

Several months later I came across video on YouTube during Computer Science 20 class, went O.o, and the rest is history.


ON topic, when all is said and done in the multiplayer department, I'm sure the entire planet would deeply heart the campaign.
