This is whats been done to fix unfair use of jumping affecting source hit detection, its not temporary and its not a bug we created etc. "Temporary" is not the status we are giving it. May change in future but thats for then at the moment.
If you hit ceilings dont use jump when moving forward as much. That the only time it's ever a hindrence to movement, otherwise you are hitting a ceiling and coming directly down after hitting your head ; there is no logic defied there.
Additionally, you CAN jump over all railings ive seen, and ive jumped through windows at right angle. Learn the angle? Basically, jump before an object not hugging it before jumping. This way you clear it in every event.
