Mine Sound Suggestions
« on: February 12, 2009, 12:54:00 am »

I seem to have found that there are a few of Problems with the sounds for the Mines(Remote, Prox, Timed). Here they are:

1. Mines are Missing their Throwing sound. It's completely silent when you throw a mine.
2. The Attach sound for Mines is WAY too quiet. Make it much louder.
3. The Detection beep for Proximity Mines is a little too quiet as well. Make it a bit louder.

These would be suggestions not bugs, so I've moved it to the proper place.

Good suggestions however.

Whoops, sorry. Well, I meant it as a form of bug report, due to the missing mine sound.

But Yay anyway, someone said my suggestions are actually good. \o/

Something else that I would recommend is creating an easier, and MUCH faster way to detonate remote mines once you've tossed them.  It takes FOREVER to pull out your watch and detonate, by which time your foe is already past the mines and you've just wasted two or three of them, before someone guns you down from behind.

Hold Mouse2 then press mouse1  (right click + left click)

Its not ideal but works,  simply presing mouse2 would be better.

Speaking of mines... is anyone else having a hard time shooting them? I mean, for like shooting a planted proxy mine. I'm not very far away, my crosshair is undeniably centered on it, I shoot, but no explodey. Maybe I am just missing...

They only take one shot to detonate, right?

Yeah, only one shot.

Make sure you're using an accurate gun. It takes the klobb approximately two clips too destroy a mine that's 5 feet in front of you.

I must disagree. It takes three clips. And yes, get a more accurate gun and also make sure you don't stand too close to the mine.
