Yea I was going to say Minerva as well. There have been a lot of mods that do single player stuff, but they usually use all the game assets from the original game. They are mods like different campaigns for far cry and hl2 that use all the original game assets. They can be pretty good, but they aren't nearly the same thing as a unique single player game. I think Minerva had a lot of hl2 assets in it, since it was in the hl2 universe.
You're right, many of the assets have to be done for multiplayer as well, but on a much lower magnitude, especially characters. AI is the biggest difference.

Mapping is also extremely different, you left all that out Konrad. You have to map out AI waypoints, info nodes, objectives, scripting, choreographing, and of course the cutscenes lol. Topic locked, thank you come again!
