This is sort of a Goldeneye issue for me lol, but here is the deal, Everytime i double click on any of the following

CounterStrike Source
GoldenEye Beta
GoldenEye Beta 1.1

The box comes up saying prepairing to lauch game then thats it the box goes away and nothing loads??

This is what i have done so far to try and fix the problem

1.Deleted Every single thing about steam and its game and reinstalled everything from scratch - This did not fix the problem
2. Deleted the Client Blob thing so steam updated again - This also did not fix the problem

I'm at my wits end im desperate to play Goldeneye with some friends and i cannot get anything working. if anyone has seen this issue before or knows of a fix please help me.

You may need to know some info about my computer so il post it below

P5K - Wifi
2gb Ram
8800GTS 640MB - Drivers im using atm are the new Beta ones that came out just after the Crysis 1.2 Patch

No i only have GE Source installed and Counter Strike

i think u need the source sdk base installed  go to tools and install it
also it sounds like a updating thing with the "prepairing to lauch game then thats it the box goes away and nothing loads" 
restart steam when installing mods and create shortcuts i found sometimes it did`nt load because it i didint create a short cut
