The character models are certainly in need of some love. The existing ones are very dated, all the way back to the origins of the game in most cases. It's certainly on our radar as something that needs to be addressed and expanded upon.

I'd also love to see most of that list make an appearance at some point in time. Character art is certainly a long and complex process, so time frames are out of the question at this point in time. The best I can say is that's discussed amongst the team, and we know how much work our roster needs.

On a more serious note: You chose Civilian and not Siberian Special Forces? Shame.

So, what are the odds we'll see some new character models and/or alternate models in 5.1?

I've seen a few people apply here over the last couple years to be a character modeler. And I've seen some cool "unofficial" ones on servers, like Moonraker Elite?

Is this something we can possibly expect with 5.1 - or is it ruled out/future release TBD?

Still would love to see the following in-game:

Xenia (GE64 version, and alternates Casino formal wear, and the uniform she wears when her and Ourumov go in the Bunker in the film.)
Natalya
Moonraker Elite
St. Petersburg Guard
Dr. Doak
Black Tuxedo/bowtie Bond
White Tux Bond w/ red lapel carnation
Jungle Commando w/ helmet option
Janus Special Forces (blue, black, or maroon beret)
Arctic Commando (the blue cammo guys from Bunker 2)
Civilian (1, 2, and 3)
Helicopter Pilot

I'd love to help make these... but I have 0 experience or knowledge, so the best I can do is post and hope someone else does / they're in the works for a future release!

Would it be possible for the Uplink spawn points not to spawns on props? example. In Bunker one of the points spawns on top of the bunk bed, some don't know how to get there.

Hey All,

Following the lead of great GE:S community leaders like Graslu and Shemp, among others, I'm going to be stepping up my streaming a bit going forward, and will work to promote the mod however I can on various platforms.

This mod is really something special, and like many others are doing, I want to put whatever time I can into promoting it and to keep new players coming in to enjoy it as much as I have.

A short update: I've been busy with real-life stuff the last two weeks: I'm going to move from Sweden to Poland and I'm looking for work and for an apartment. I will be living in Poland from April 1st but it will also take some time to settle (buy furniture, look for work if I haven't found it by that point and so on).
Despite this I will do my best to work on Subpen when I have time. Kraid is helping me with improving the layout slightly and he is also helping me with optimization.

HL2.exe has a habit of not closing after you exit the mod meaning you get an error that the app is already running when you try to reload, this is nothing to do with the mod, but with Source SDK not being updated to function in a modern environment, only Valve can fix this issue... However, you can do the following...

Create a new text file on your desktop and add the following line...

taskkill /F /IM hl2.exe

Now rename it to "KillHL2.bat"... Or whatever name you wish to call it, as long as it has the .bat extension.
Now double click this to close Goldeneye Source (hl2.exe). Saves you going into processes.
Also, you could do what I have done and place this somewhere else, I have this bat file in my Goldeneye Source folder, you can create a shortcut for the desktop, then go to properties for the shortcut and change icon to Half Life 2 icon, saves you having that ugly batch icon on your desktop.

I recently got GoldenEye Source, and once i installed it, it worked fine. skip ahead few hours later, (after 2 installs) the game doesnt work. "An error occured while updating Goldeneye Source (v5.0) App running". btw this is on steam. can anyone help me this is getting aggravating  >:(
