The abbreviation “Xmas” has always been advised against in Christian circles and a bad word during the holidays. The misconception is that the abbreviation disrespectfully takes “Christ” out of Christmas. However, you’ll be surprised to learn that the term has early Christian roots and celebrates the birth of Jesus more than you think.
