What an exciting prospect. I've always believed there's other life out there somewhere. I did see something very odd once many years ago when I was 19, It was enough to make me sit bolt upright in shock, it was when I was 19, I was laying on the beach at night, Sandown seafront on the Isle of Wight, and I saw what I thought was a shooting star when it suddenly stopped dead, then shot off in the opposite direction... I know, you think I'm mental, but I know what I saw, it was weird.

But nothing will beat the iconic structure of the original "cradle".

This new radio telescope will feature a more modern reciver, which surely will look less iconic.

For me the question is not if life exists out there, but when will we find it and what will it be.

Don't get me wrong, i also belive that we are not the only "intelligent" species in the whole universe,
but if the others are intelligent enough, they allready know about us and might not want to be found.
