Hey guys, I wanted to get a solid computer desk, my spending limit is around $300. I search high and low but i cant find any suitable. So i am asking for some guidance on where to look. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I bought mine at Office Max.

That PC Desk wasn't built with gamer PCs in mind though.
I imagine a huge issue with air flow, when putting something that isn't an office only PC in there.
Maybe if you don't apply the back pannel and front door, it might still work out.
-
I have to agree with Kraid, I wouldn't want to put my PC in that cupboard as it could get very hot, but it's a nice desk... You could maybe modify it's design a little if you want it that badly of course :)

I stole mine.

I built my own with Countertop salvaged from the bin at Rona (home depot) and wall support brackets.

An appliance cooker.

Enzo I'm surprised the counter has enough stiffness to hold up in the middle as they are designed to be laying on top of cabinets mostly. Cool idea!

I just use 2x of these. http://www.rona.ca/en/shelf-bracket
Did also put some boards on the sides and back to give that surface to help. I have no issues, can actually stand on it. For a while I did have a 36" tube TV on it.

It's been a couple years, we totally need a new "post your setup" thread now ;)

That looks beautiful Enzo. Nicely done.
I heard MDF wood is a pretty solid once you treat it. It is smooth and works great as a computer desk.
Any desks you buy from the store is garbage. Go buy a plywood, sand it, make your own custom desk for the fraction of the cost.
I use a Lifetime folding table as a desk.

36" CRT? LOL wow.
Surprised those brackets can hold the weight of the counter ontop of the TV's weight.

I'll take some more pictures when I get home.
All I can really say is make sure you put them on the studs.

By far the ugliest desk I have ever seen.

Not a desk, but a sweet workbench. I might actually build this one :D

I watch his YouTube channel. Love the stuff he comes up with. Doesn't hurt he is also Canadian :D
