Woah, I haven't seen a hacker since Beta 3. Nice catch.

Why the hell would you use a speed hack for GE:S anyway... Ridiculous.

That brings the ratio of hacking accusations to actual hackers up from 50,000/1 to 25,000/1.

To all of you idiots who think hacking doesn't happen in ges....LOOK AT BIGBIRD. If you really think a person can get an 8:1 kill to death ratio your fucking retarded. I don't care how good you are at it, there is no physical way for that to happen. I have been playing this game for 4 years and i became really good, and i still get my ass kicked. I know he is retired and all that, but i want this known....he fucking cheats. I don't wanna hear any excuses from wnx players. i been in the clan before and i know how things operate. So do not feed me lies.

It's not easy, but ABSOLUTELY possible to get an 8:1 K:D ratio. I can't believe we really have to hear about this again.

Yes...we do. I want him to post a video of him playing, he probably won't becuase he is a whiny brat. IF you honestly think it is possible to have an 8:1 kill to death ratio against real human players then you need a medical evaluation. To all that think it is possible you obivously have no logic in your brain. I don't get why you sissy's are kissing his butt. IF he has nothing to hide...prove your self innocent.

I hack too? A lot of people can get 8:1 (or more) K/D ratio.
Title: Re: Another hacker bites the dust.
Post by: StupidMarioBros1Fan[1138] on January 27, 2014, 05:37:20 pm
Theres been times where I get 8 to 11 kills before dieing, however it's rare, doesn't usually happen in the same match. Usually only get that many kills before dieing when a) the other players suck b) one of the really powerful guns is in the weapon set like say Moonraker Lazer or Grenade Launcher c) I get extremely lucky when I'm the MWGG
However you're talking about getting 8:1 K/D ratios in consecutive matches and all the time, which doesn't happen to me, and I haven't played against Big Bird that often, nor in a while, but I remember getting my ass handed to me by him, and assumed he is just a boss at the game. idk the likely-hood of him using cheats.

Let us not hold ourselves up to Google's ethics. In fact, we should fear them more than ever. First they buy a military robots company and now they've just bought a company specialising in AI. You know where this is going!

Oh so you mean the ones in ges-stats. That's stupid, if someone which is good right now starts a new account and plays, he will probably get that K/D ratio, more or less, no hacks. If I'm right he played before stats existed, enough time to get good and do the same without new accounts.

You don't have proofs that he hacks, and I don't have proofs that he doesn't, but do you really think that someone can use a cheat engine for 5 years and still be undetected by VAC or something?... I think you are just bored, like it happened other times.

I am not a moron. Even if he had amazing skill at this game it would still be impossible. Like all great players know...you can't win them all. I have been playing this game since 2009 and am one of the best players on the game and i come NO WHERE close to his skill. His skill is so unbelievable good it doesn't make sense, and which has raise suspicion. A lot of regular players i know have often told me that they think he cheats...for one example me and troy were talking about this and he believe he is cheating as well. I do not care how good you are at a game....no matter your skill there is no way in hell that his kill to death ratio is possible. Even the best players get their ass kicked. I do not understand why half of you are protecting him...for what? His KDR is not even realistic, another to point out is look at his accuracy...terrible but he has over 80,000 kills and 10,000 deaths....yet that makes sense...i guess. One more point; it is prove not proofs.

I like(d) playing against BigBird, it was like playing against the perfect aim AI of earlier games... before they tried to get fancy with actual "AI"

Either way he was a challenge and a satisfaction when I did kill him (which I did often)

The "alltime" stats for the WN servers don't go back 5 years, they have been reset at least two times that I remember, maybe more before I was around. I'm sure the high KDR was one of the few things that gave BigBird motivation (= a challenge) to play GES, he didn't have much competition the past two or three years. He would raise his goal higher and higher playing DM and MWGG mostly. Of course setting as high a goal as KDR 8 requires some sacrifices. I'm sure Bird wouldn't risk playing LTK in Cradle for example, or other high risk scenarios, I'm fairly sure he played it safe to reach his goals.

My point is BigBird is/was goal-oriented. This is how I see it.
Title: Re: Another hacker bites the dust.
Post by: Falko on February 01, 2014, 06:58:09 am
Yeah, I would not consider the server stats the most appropriate way to discredit or not his "unusual" performance... That's irrelevant as he would mostly play MWGG indeed. Even during league practices, he would have a somewhat normal KDR, at times. There was not much competition back when he played, but that's mainly because GES is just a mod with a small community. There is few people that were really committed to this game (and tried to be the "best") because that's just not worth it, there is too much limitations, it's not a game where you can compete well. So if you want to break those limitations, to be better than everyone else is, there isn't one hundred ways to achieve that goal.

Like Roger said, some people are more aware of how far you can perform in this game because they've played GES a lot, and also... I mean, there is other games that are much more competitive and if you've played them, followed the competitive scene a lot, maybe have even been part of it, then you know what's possible and not. Let's face it, the top players of this game who fall under this category, every single of them, have always found BB at least suspicious. There is a difference between being on top and completely crushing the other top players.

I think some of us have proof of him cheating, but not material ones. We've witnessed some odd things (other than a 8:1 KDR) that are sufficient enough to state the obvious. It's not really much about an "overall" feeling, it's more about some details. Now you can never be certain, for sure, and I'm being accused of cheating a lot so that's never something I take lightly. BB is probably a great players either way, he might still have been the best without, but he definitely raised more than suspicions to me the few times I played against him. Some just want to stand out from the crowd, I don't see why GES would be the exception.

Found hacking again with the same account in Troy's server. He have a second account called James Bond 007, he used the same hack on another server but I don't have a record of that, anyways, thanks to Troy we know that both accounts have the same IP and it's him, same country, city and attitude. He's also banned for impersonation.

Pretty much everyone who gets marginally good at the game gets called a hacker at one point or another. I remember being banned from The Game Wardens' old server in early 2011 (along with my friend, for no reason) because I was killing people through walls with the magnum. They claimed to have recorded demos that showed me "passing through walls" or something. I actually had to find them on their Ventrilo server and sort things out, which they were at least willing to do instead of plugging their ears and whisking me away.

It's a shame, but with Source's questionable hit detection, client-side blood not representing hits (though the hit sound helps), latency, and the game's general learning curve, hacking accusations do get thrown around a lot more than they should.

Wow, so GE:S is becoming what Call of Duty 4 was at my school (before the school finally got tired of half the school playing it all day and decided to block the game) players would get kicked left and right (because in that game, getting kicked meant having to wait like 15 to 30 minutes before you could get back on so it wasn't as threatening as in here and other games) they would get kicked for camping, which is understandable, being an asshole or a dick, which is also a bit understandable, hacking, which is when you should kick someone, and being better than everyone else, which is not the time to get kicked. The students at my school are such sore losers because if you killed them a bunch of times they'd try to kick you, hell if you really good, and everyone knew you were really good, they'd try to kick you as soon as you joined. This was one of the reasons why I stopped playing CoD at school, and preferred GE:S because there wasn't that bullcrap going on here, but it looks like it is now. :(

Is anyone aware of a "skin hack" for GE:S?  This would be a hack that makes an opposing team player appear in-game as though they are on your team.  The only way to know they aren't on your team is that they do not share the team icon above your head.  Unless I'm going nuts I believe I witnessed this the other day.

In beta 3, it was possible to play as a character on the opposing team. When it'd change from FFA to teamplay, a character prompt would pop up. If you cancelled out of it, you'd stay as whoever character you were previously playing as, regardless of teams.

As of beta 4 and beyond, I don't believe this is possible. I have however seen some players being represented as one character, then another when they are killed. Not sure what causes that.

That doesn't exist. It's a bug of GE:S (and probably other Source games), sometimes you will see people playing as their preffered character, Ourumov for example, and when they get killed the ragdoll will be Bond or the player they're actually using. This happened to me some months ago but I don't remember how it was exactly, it's not a hack. This can be fixed restarting the game and maybe changing map too.

I can confirm that it's a bug common among the engine.

and it's a massive pain, even for gameplay.

It's a rare bug in GE:S at least, played since 2010 (I know it's not a lot of time for most of us here) and only saw it once.
Title: Re: Another hacker bites the dust.
Post by: Lord_Crow on April 02, 2014, 02:09:08 pm
It's common in younger mods, most definitely.

Compared to a mod that never left version 1 and I've been playing that as long as I've been playing GE:S. (which seems like milliseconds compared to Graslu) I got the bug multiple times and got TKed for it.

Ok well I guess I'll let it go then.  However, it did seem odd to me when I saw this "skin changer" that he was standing in the middle of a group of my teammates as if he was waiting to see if anyone noticed him.  If this is a glitch then the "skin changer" would not be aware that he is appearing as let's say the general then why wouldn't he have been shooting my teammates instead of trying to blend in?  If he did know what was happening then it seems obvious that he would try to see how well it worked.

I haven't heard anyone say otherwise yet so I will concede that it's a bug.

Some people told me that they've seen two speed hackers (on the same match) in our server one or two weeks ago. They stopped when someone said something about an admin. I don't have names but I will check our stats page and see if I find something, they will probably play on other servers so you know what to do if you see them. Maybe the same guy again?
