Total Cost: 557 Euros (740 USD) -_-
Then my build will be: These plus:

AsRock Extreme 4 970 Motherboard
G.Skill Sniper 8 GB RAM

Windows 8 Pro x64 :o
I'd upgrade this at least to Win7 ASAP. XD
-
Why? I think Win8 is maybe even better than Win7.
I bought Start8, with that you can get the start button back.
And Win8 uses less RAM and most games run even like 10 FPS better on Win8 than 7.
Only bad side i've noticed is that i can't play some of my old games, most of them work, and when i tried to run Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit (From 1998) just for the shits and giggles, it didn't work.

Expensive, can get the same card for $400 USD. :(

I am waiting for Windows 8.1. As always I want to see what others think of it before I buy it.
I ordered a Geforce 660 OC edition for $168 after rebates. Upgraded from a GTX 650. All of my games run at higher or ultimate resolution at 30-45fps.
That gpu you got is nice. Let me know what fps you get in the games you run.
As for thermal paste, get Arctic Silver 5. The best paste out there.

I have the Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. 8) But i can't play any games because i don't have sound at all on my computer. I have tried everything, drivers, BIOS settings, even installing a windows on other hard drive. I think it's a hardware fault. I maybe gotta buy a Sound card OR buy the Headset i want. Maybe it works because it's on USB and uses it's own sound card.

The thing that pisses me off is that i still haven't played Crysis 2 with Extreme graphics mod on Ultra :'(
I'm gonna install Windows 7. If the sound works on windows 7 i will laugh so hard. ::)

Not to sound like a dick, but have you checked to make sure your speakers were connected properly to the onboard sound? Also, is it unmuted? and lastly, try the speakers on another pc.
If windows can't detect the sound hardware in device manager, then yes it is a hardware error.
-
Of course i have checked them :>
I'm not an idiot ;)
Which one should i do:
Buy the headset i've wanted for a long time, but then i can't use my speakers
OR
Save and buy a soundcard
I know you're going to say to buy the soundcard, but i really want the headset :(
-
Did you install the right drivers? Suggest you download the audio driver from this site and install it

I have been using it for 3-5 years and no issues.
If you really want the headset, stick with it. It uses USB which will be hassle free to install and setup :)

Oh, i fixed my prob long time ago and i haven't posted a reply.
Anyway, i found out that the onboard sound audio was broken and i think Static electricity broke it.
I bought a new sound card for 40 € and BAM! Works! The card is old but meh.

You should've RMA'd it, But too late!

Yeah, i would RMA'ed it. Who knows it could have been a refurbished board you know. If your paying over $200 for a board and something is not working, RMA that shit and get a new one. Don't ignore anything. Get your moneys worth.
