Title: game crashes

Hi guys, I tried to change the resolution in game to 1600x1200, my screen flickered for ages and I ended up having to end the hl.exe process. Since then i havent been able to launch the game, it keeps crashing. Is there a file somewhere that will allow me to adjust the resolution from outside of the game, assuming this is the issue?

There must be an issue with your video card not liking that resolution.

Try using -w 800 -h 600 in launch options.
(right click on ges 4.2 in steam game library, properties>launch options)

After starting the game with these options it'll be on 800x600 resolution.
Now set the resolution you want and quit the game.
Remove the -w 800 -h 600 from the launch options again.

Now start up the game and it should be fine.
