After starting server, run these commands.

sv_lan 0

changemap ge_MAPNAME (put map name there)

Also make sure if your on a router, to forward port 27015 (I suggest 27010-27020)

Where do i type this in? I assume in the console but when i press ~ nothing comes up. Also, how do i do this port fowarding? Ive never done this before. I usually just start a server and its there.

http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Half_Life_2_Steam_Server/Half_Life_2_Steam_Serverindex.htm

Find your router, follow the instructions.
