I am used to being able to rush through vents in complex and run for cover in bunker 2 (N64), but what bothers me is the fact that the 45 degree strafing speed boost is not implemented. It's about twice the wall run speed.
I started noticing it on that custom map syberia, where walking can be a real drag.

We decided, conscientiously, between wall strafe and 45 deg boost. We obviously chose wall strafe.
You can gain a boost in crawl speed by aiming while crawling.

I know its not the solution you're looking for, but there's always wiggle walking (rapidly strafing L & R while moving forward) which gives you a slight velocity boost for open maps like that, which was what I was mostly doing on Siberia against you earlier today.

Sadly, I probably should have made siberia smaller than it is now...I already substantially cut it down from before the 4.1 version came along. Oh well, maybe something to work on for next version in 4.2. :)

I respect the decisions, as you guys obviously know how to make a good mod. (although I personally like the strafe feature)

W-... what? :D I've crawled around here for a long time ;-)

PS: aiming in vents in complex_classic didn't make any difference. The L+R strafing did work.
