Title: Body impact sounds
Post by: elfar on November 05, 2011, 08:50:46 pm
Hello guys,

I'm enjoying the mod. I noticed that one thing was missing from the N64 version: body impact sounds. It could seem a simple detail but it brings so much in gameplay.
It allows to be sure you get your ennemy and it has much more effects: you feel the gun fights.
You have that simple feature in the genuine N64 game and i'd enjoy seeing it in the "GoldenEye Source" Mod.

Thanks a lot.
See you someday, somewhere...

Mmmmmm..I think he is referring to the hit flesh sounds from bullets. We don't have those in yet and would be something that needs to be added in the future. However, we do have something that will help you in a similar manner in 4.2 until we get our sounds just right. Lots of good things/new concepts being worked on that are going to take a while to refine and get working well. We are headed in a good direction, don't you worry :)

The only reason he got said that is we have so many sounds and improvements going into the mod that it is easy to lose track. He does a lot of work for the mod, its easy for those things to get mixed up between ricochet noises, hit notifications, flesh noises, weapon sounds and so much more.
