Could we finally be getting a great Bond game on the other two consoles?

No. GoldenEye Wii sucked enough already.
Release the damn Arcade game, At least, It looked like it could have had great potential.
Perfect Dark on the XBLA was perfect.

I love how they seem to be throwing out anything from the Wii version that was remotely Bond-esque and making it 100% Call of Duty. Way to go Activision.

A Call of Duty with Daniel Craig will sell more than a Bond game (or 3) with Daniel Craig

I cant believe that this is so ironic

Nintendo wanted Goldeneye 64 to be exclusively avalible only to Wii (instead of it being on XBLA) and so they didnt release the game to both systems...

then they got Goldeneye Wii as they're exclusive and 7 months later... both PS3 and 360 are getting it

the bad thing is i might actually entertain the thought of buying this...:(

I would rent it for a day if I was you, The game isn't gonna last much longer than that anyway.

I suppose that's why they use Craig in the first place: to clearly show, that this isn't a James Bond game.

Hmmm... looks like they only put in high res textures, shaders and maybe more detailed models for player, enemies and weapons.
I bet this runs on a slightly customized CoD engine.

You can tell by the thermal scope, The iron sights and the scripted events such as knocking someone out.

Well, they pretty much have to use Craig due to contractual obligations.

Personally, I'm still sure as shoot that we will see a GoldenEye 2 next year.

A Goldeneye 2? I'd be laughing my ass off. Its just one storyline, You can't create a new storyline from scratch and call it Goldeneye 2, It just won't be Goldeneye.

Well soon there will be Goldeneye 2 and 3 which will be carbon copies of each other, then 4 will be a reboot of the series called Goldeneye: Modern Espionage. Then in the wake of 4's success, some other studio will make an even crappier fifth game set back in the 90's, like the first three. Then Modern Espionage 2 will come out, and "Bond fans" will rejoice, not realizing that it's a near exact copy of 4.

Or at least that's the kind of crap Activision likes to do with their franchises.

Goldeneye 2: Janus survived the drop from cradle this time he's out for revenge (well... again?).
He's breaking into the secret Russian base where they developed Goldeneye, and launches the two remaining missiles...

To get seriouse again, i think they'd do what they always do, pretending that the other movie never existed and tell the whole story again.
Hench, look at what they're doing with Spiderman right now.

Damn, just realized you're still talking about Games while i thought about a new Goldeneye movie with D.Craig.

You know a game is bad when the intro is longer then the content they are showing.

Yeah, and meanwhile we'll still be waiting for the release of Goldeneye HD, which of course will probably never happen.

its funny because i saw a couple of images of The Dam from XBLA and Pierce Brosnan was in it...it looked remarkable i got the link: http://www.unseen64.net/2010/02/07/goldeneye-007-remake-xbox-360-xbla-cancelled/

honestly i hate Daniel Craig so much (i mean i loved Casino Royale) but he ruined it by making Qantum of Solace and then remaking Goldeneye with him in it- without any gadgets or humour (i mean id rather have Timothy Dalton in it=who can atleast smile and have charm)

sorry just needed to vent that out

Obvious observation is obvious. ;-)
Yet I'm sure your statement will stand forever since so far it's only this one guy after Brosnan. I don't like him, right. But that doesn't mean there won't be another good actor for that role - post-Brosnan, obviously.

A Goldeneye 2? I'd be laughing my ass off. Its just one storyline, You can't create a new storyline from scratch and call it Goldeneye 2, It just won't be Goldeneye.
And of course that stopped them from doing GoldeEye: Rogue Agent. ~

At least when you look at Spiderman there's a good reason: new cast and new director.
Though I have to agree, that it'd be cool to have the movies follow the canon storyline or create some new events that are considered canon.

Well soon there will be Goldeneye 2 and 3 which will be carbon copies of each other, then 4 will be a reboot of the series called Goldeneye: Modern Espionage. Or at least that's the kind of crap Activision likes to do with their franchises.

Guide to Activision:
- don't buy >>generic title<< >>insert number here<<
- don't buy games that share a genre with their main cash cows
-> Just buy titles they're unlikely to expand to a series and that they are rather unfamiliar with. If it's expanding another title be very sceptic at least.
