I've been playing this game for the last week and it's so awesome. Well, tonight I discovered the Electric Charge ammo and OMG did I laugh out loud, I haven't laughed this much in a long time, a priceless gaming moment, enjoy:-

lol, I've never actually played that game before but I remember the demo for the first game being pretty cool

Just watched it again, and it's so funny. It's well worth looking it up, even by todays standards it's a good looking game, I was actually thinking last night how it looks very much like a Source game.

I prefer its prequel, N.O.L.F. 1, although its graphics are a outdated I think the gameplay was superior and you didn't have to level up your character but you could go looking for items from previous missions if you wanted to.
Oh and there's the parameter option for the exe link that makes it feel like you're playing it right off Steam (no CD).
This version still worked on XP btw.:

(as I have another - original release with soundtrack - that didn't)
It's dead cheap so if you like the second one, you might want to give it a try after all. I admit, there's no Katana in it, but the dialog is pretty cool, especially when guards are talking to one another or there's this cliché german shouting still using the english grammar. At least watch a playthrough in parts. ;-)

Favourite shooters of all time. Of all time.
Cate's voice over in Nolf1 > Nolf2, but being able to install it properly on Win7 gives NOLF2 the slight edge.
Free-falling without a parachute vs Sword fight in a Torando, why choose which is more fun? If only it could be rescued from IP hell...
BTW coolD, I have the release of NOLF with the soundtrack as the 2nd disk and it installs fine on XP for me.

Well, might be some scratches on the CDs surface then, but I also read other people had problems even installing their version on XP.
Additional information for people interested in buying it now: Vertical sync is needed for the cutscenes on modern systems - or they'll just be cut off. (oh well)

Hmm, that sucks, I hope it's scratches then.

Man, that was great! Sadly, I've never played any NOLF, but I think I might have to look into getting it. Kind of reminds me of Timesplitters Future Perfect.
