I suppose that's how media works - as long as no one dies there's no story or only some years after the incident.
It's hard to believe this actually happened and I don't want to imagine what it was like being pulled through there.

This was news here in the UK when it was slightly more recent. Incredible that he survived it. Remember seeing him on some TV program... absolutely fine. WTF.

Damn. Well at least he says he didn't feel much pain.
I'm having a hard time trying to imagine how exactly he got pulled in.
