I just downloaded beta 4.exe and source sdk 2007 goldeneye runs but I can't find any servers do I need to update to the OST patch. Or does no one play any more
-
OST = Original Soundtrack
Reboot Steam and make sure you installed BETA 4 client and not 3.1.
P.S: Also check your server filters.

Rebooted computer and yes I have beta 4 checked server filters still no servers showing up also hl2 is an exception in my fire wall what else could be the problem. Is the game dead as in does no one play any more?????
-
Did you uncheck "show map list"?
-
My friend's been having the same problem with that when we tried playing online. He got a fresh install from ModDB and he couldn't see any servers. I've had the game installed since release and I saw all the servers just fine.
-
yes i unchecked show map list
-
i will try to reinstall/download it. can anyone confirm that it works with sdk 2007??
-
Its a Valve thing. Some people show all servers. Some people only show servers with people in them. Not much can be done. Reinstalling and redoing everything might help.
You can use the steam server view outside of game to find a server if you need to. That should show all servers.

what is steam server view and also how do I restart steam???
-
Unchecking 'show map list' and then doing a full refresh (quick refresh will only ping servers already displayed so it is useless in this instance) of the list should reveal all the servers. A slow connection or being in a timezone like Australia may limit your results as most servers are located in America and Europe.
To get Steam Server Browser in Steam go to View>Servers then click on Change Filters and select the game as Goldeneye: Source (Beta 4).
