Title: [Suggestion] Scoreboard Gameplay Icons
Post by: Mangley on March 28, 2010, 02:46:14 am: Just an idea I struck out of nowhere whilst playing tonight, KM said I should post it on the forums.

The suggestion is of course to display gameplay radar icons on the scoreboard where you have the 'Dev' 'Beta Tester' 'Dead' icons. For example if the game mode is LALD then the Baron would have the Baron's icon there, and the Golden Gun carrier would have the Golden gun icon there. The same would apply to flag carriers in Living Daylights, Golden Gun carrier in MWGG and could also be used for carriers in CTK if there were key and briefcase icons.

It's a very simple idea really, shouldn't take much work at all. It's just polish really but I think it's useful for quick identification of the Baron, instead of looking for 'Samedi' in the character names.

I mean you wouldn't want to hide the GE: S Dev or the beta tester tag... nor some players' silver or gold medals *looking-conspiratorially-at-WnxKobayashi*, would you? :o
So at least have a special column for that, so nothing else has to make way for it, please! :- (

No more icons. Just make the baron line bold, or do a horizontal divider. The other game modes are fine the way they are right now.

Post by: killermonkey on March 28, 2010, 12:53:06 pm: huh thats not what I said lol. I said to post ideas on replacing the retarded looking achievement icons that are on the scoreboard when you are a silver/gold achievement level earner.

We already solved the gameplay stuff with scoreboard name coloring. The Baron will be colored white, the GG holder colored gold, etc. etc. There are four colors to choose from: Normal, White, Eliminated, Gold
