Title: Peeking round corners & no jumping

Hey, I really enjoy playing GE:S, i think it's a great mod.
One thing I have been missing: the "peeking round corners". In the N64 game you could stand close to the edge of a wall, then aim and use c- buttons to take a quick peek (&shot). This was very useful especially in LTK! Is there a plan to implement this? You could do it with the aim button held and then using wasd.

Also, a mode that doesn't allow jumping would be nice (more oldschool).

Also, is there a no-radar mode? You could have that in the original game.

Both of these are server options. And are already in Beta3.

Yeah nice, thanks for that, didnt have time to go into detail with the server vars.
But the Peeking- thing remains! I wanna have it, to others it might see like a very small detail, to me it is crucial :D

There's potential for peeking/leaning to work..

However, things like leaning and crouching were really only tailored for singleplayer in the first place. Whilst they could be used in multiplayer they had no movement animations.

In all honesty if leaning is implemented I only see it being an annoyance to everyone. People will most likely abuse it, taking careful aim means nothing when the person you're aiming at is quickly dodging left and right at inhumane speeds whilst spamming bullets.

Also, with Source's 'laggy hitbox' net code you might be completely concealed behind a wall but if you were leaning out half a second ago then people with higher pings can still hit you.

You already have un-counterable peeking. It's called VALVE NETCODE.  That's part of the reason that penetration is a pretty cool guy.

Peeking won't be a part of the multiplayer experience, although it may make a debut in any single player esque game we make.
