Although a problem similar to this was found in the following thread http://forums.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/topic,2910.0.html (http://forums.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/topic,2910.0.html) and fixed in the 3.1 patch released last March...I found a very different condition in the current game version where this could happen. As I was spectating in the "free floating" camera mode one day, I was moving backwards as I was picking my Samedi character to join the game. Upon joining, I saw that Samedi's hat was not where it was supposed to be....
Important to mention also is that the hat was in sync with every movement I made, except for sliding a little in the opposite direction I was strafing towards, as can be seen in the second screenshot.
