Title: Could I have a .VTF file of an official map?
Post by: Zippy on August 02, 2009, 10:18:51 pm
<#thread_title>, please? I want to use one to memorize the GE map format.

Edit: Sorry, I meant .VMF file.

What? A .vtf file is a Source engine texture. If you meant an uncompiled .vmf file, I'm pretty sure the team doesn't just hand those out, in fact most mod teams never release their source code.

What do you mean by "the GE map format"?

The current maps aren't much use to you anyway, since the tricky stuff, like respawning glass and music is being re-designed for 4.

If you're really hard on it, decompile a BSP.
