Title: Environment / Prop Artist
Post by: ThomasOlyphant on July 23, 2009, 04:57:01 pm
Hi there. My name is Thomas, 21 years old and from Denmark.
Currently i'm not working, but does have a education in Animation and Video Editing.

I my spare time I work with my friends in diffrent projects. I'm of course a big fan of the N64 goldeneye, and would be great for me to on this project, since i'm a big bond fan and have alot of time to work on this.

I'm hoping you can use me as a Environment / Prop Artist, but of course if you need me to do something else, level designer, concept artist etc, i'll be happy to do it.

I have some work to show you, i'm sorry it ain't much I have here to show. But just give a task, and I will make it, no problem. Please watch them in full size in a bottom left corner, gives

First a watch add. A watch I made two years ago.

I realize english is not your first or second language, but I am confused by your application. You said you were educated in film editing and animation but showed work of modeling and rendering.

Also, as a modeller for this game you cannot make models as detailed as the ones you presented. Do you have experience in low polygon modelling?

This is just to show some of my work. But I have of course made low poly models.

I some time ago, made some models to the danish game programming school. So I have some experience in low poly.

The work he presented is quite brilliant. If he can do game-compatible modeling, he'd be right on up there with the pros once he learned Source.

I know my opinion doesnt matter in this too much,  but I think he should be given a trial. I imagine that he would be good at designing the video animation of the watch screen for when single player is done. (Unless we are going to do that differently or not at all, of course)

That watch is an Omega after all, which is what Bond wore in the Goldeneye movie, and was changed in the game to "Beta".

In-Game video could be very nice to do. A thing that could be nice to do is, a title sequence, like in the James Bond movies.

I have some texturing work to show:) Haven't worked as much with it as pixar of course:)

But here is something made about a month ago, a low poly model. Made in a very short time.

And here, monopoly, don't know what it has to do with Bond, but it's texturing work :)

Am I the only one who cannot see any Low-poly work in the first pic?
Maybe wrong link?

And for the monopoly scene, if you meant to show your photoshop skills, fine.
But i would like to see a low-poly objekt with UV-map and texture.

It is very low poly the first pic. At the door step on the left you can see it very clearly.

You mean you wanna see a low poly person/face or maybe a gun?

yah an object, wireframe. Not a scene or a render.

How about giving me a task, and let me make a sample?
