Yea, im broke because of my blown out ACL and i cannot work. Now, my power supply unit on my development computer has completely shit itself, does anyone have a 500 watt + power supply unit laying around that I could have and you could have a nice high five? :angel:
Either that or does anyone wanna give my like $120 USD haha thanks ahead of time ;D

IT has a 5 year manufacture warranty...and pretty good ratings. If that is the case, we could all pitch in like 5 bucks a piece or something which would make it easy to get.

Yeah, I like that idea bklax. if everyone helped out, we could all give seven bucks or something and buy Sharp a new power supply.
But... 500+ watts? That seems like a bit much, I can run my crazy quad-core and everything off of a 400 watt just fine.

Newer CPUs don't necessarily use more power, even though they get more done. I added an X1950 to my aging system to make it passable for Source games, but between that card, the P4 Northwood, four hard drives, a TV tuner, etc. I wouldn't dream of using a PSU advertised less than 500W. I blew out a 500W Antec within the past year with this setup (damn you VRAD!).

Yea VRAD murders my PSU routinely, I had a 480watter and that lasted 4 years and blew, then I got a 400 watter and it blew within a month, so I assume I need around 500... IDK its really annoying especially because I have so much time on my hands

I got this back in January, been happy with it so far (although that's not a long time). Only 3 SATA power connectors though. I didn't look around but with the $10 MIR it might be pretty good.

I've used the 700watt OCZ version of that on a couple computer builds.. Haven't heard any problems, so OCZ PSU's are pretty solid.

I used to have a 450 watt laying around, but before I moved back to Indiana I gave it away. I'm on a 750 watt right now. It's more than I need, but I made sure there's more if I need it in the future.
You should try saving up money. I have a bunch stashed away and don't spend much, so it just keeps collecting. Kind of nice to to worry about it, and it's there if I need it.

Thermaltake is a trusted brand. Antec was once a good powersupply brand until both of my 500 watt and 300 watt stopped working.
I got this in my email and one of the thermaltake powersupplies is on rebate. Only $39 after rebate, we can chip in 5 bucks each easily. I can donate $5 and everyone else can help. He worked hard developing the GES, so we should give back respect and pay him for his hard work and his accomplishment.

I use a 500watt thermaltake and lasted me for 5-6 years. Since then, I have not changed the fan, nor was it noisy.

I think paypal would be the only way of really doing this effectively, no one really wants too ship money across US/World.
As long as Sharp has a paypal... or can get one... (just have to link it to a bank account)

Paypal still not booked the money, not sure what's the cause. I transfered it from my bank to Paypal also got a Acknowledgment for it, but it's still not appeared on the Paypal account.
I'll check my bank statement today to see if it was booked by my bank.

For me, when I didn't have my debit card linked to my paypal, it took up to like 5 days for bank/paypal to auth. the payment.

Come on guys, we still need some more people. If anyone needs help learning how to set it all up and all, just post a message and we are willing to help. This will help facilitate development for beta 4 if we can get his computer back up. We are getting closer each day.
NOW ON TO MY SECOND QUESTION: So, if no one else pitches in, my other proposition is to ask if anyone would be willing to donate an extra $3.50 on top of what they donated before, including myself. If we did this, we would make our goal of 75 dollars (slightly over) so we would finally be able to buy his power supply. Anybody up for the idea if nobody else comes along to donate?
