Title: My Mouse is going crazy on me...
Post by: Sp1nn3y on March 15, 2009, 04:20:39 am
I use a nice mouse i've had for a fair bit of time..
Intellimouse 1.0a USB Microsoft

and this afternoon i signed on some CS 1.6... started a little mini scrim with the team for warming up.. i start to play, and it feels as if it's a little late or slacking on me.. i play 1.6 a-LOT and i can tell the feel of a mouse going crazy on me or not.. so i took out the ps/2 adapter and plugged it up through USB.. same thing.. when i move my mouse around it just seems to loose itself just slight enough to be annoying.. i have q-tipped my mouse and there is no dust.. the mousepad is a fairly new one i got from wally world 1 month ago.. Any Suggestions?

I suggest this mouse, I own it and am using it now! You can dynamically change it's sensitivity by pressing buttons on it... very useful for sniping then coming to regular gun! It's cheap too

mice crap out over time. My first 2 optical mice didn't last very long, and I didn't do anything that would make them break. My 3rd, which was a laser mouse, stopped clicking correctly after I slammed it into the side of my keyboard a couple times...

My current one is this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104076 , and it has been very good to me so far (and I to it as well)

I like binding the mousewheel left/right tilt to back and forward for web browsing. I then bind the back thumb button to 'middle mouse button', because it work amazingly better for 3ds studio max to position your 'camera'' around in the viewport than the actual middle mouse button.

Killermonkey you stole my mouse. I have the same exact mouse. Its good huh? I bought it for $50 when it came out, now its $40 sigh..

As for the first post, in windows you set the sensitivity in the control panel and see how that works. Also, maybe the laser is dying out.

This the mouse to get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104015.

I love this one. It's one of those fancy laser mice and comes with a kick-ass super scroll wheel.

As my mouse lately began hanging randomly, I was about to ask which mouse to get for about 10-20 $ / €, so I rediscovered this topic. Right now the mouse you posted isn't listed anymore, so I do not know which one you meant when you replied, Sergeant Kelly.
Has anyone any suggestions for this priceclass?

Please tell me about your experiences with the mice you're suggesting.

Note: the mouse going crazy on me is an "oldschool" mechanical mouse. I've cleaned it recently.
I have few experience with optical mice and optical/wireless mice, although they're "in" for quite some time and I wouldn't bother having a mechanical mouse again if it was a good one. I also do not necessairly need more than 3 mousebuttons (left, right, wheel).

LMAO.

Like anyone here could afford that. Take away the diamonds and its probably no better than any other mouse. xD

Sure, that is a fancy mouse... yet it's a little above my budget. ^^
Well, did you ever use it yourself? :p

I have the Razer Deathadder. It works great, even though I hate Razer's Customer support, there products are pretty good.

I just have a basic 3 button Logitech optical USB. I don't see the need to get a 1000 button mouse with a bunch of over glorified specs that would most likely have little to no impact on my performance anyway. I do just fine with the cheapies.

"Modern 3-button Wheel Mouse."

Wheel; hmm...

My setup:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keyboards/keyboard_mice_combos/devices/154&cl=ca,en

Simple and has what I need right now. Mouse could use forward/back buttons, though...
Oddly, the keyboard is the most comfortable-to-type I have ever used.

Little 00, check the date of the previous post before replying. This thread has been dead for a while.
