Title: Question about LTK
Post by: SPECTRE v7 on March 08, 2009, 05:03:27 am
I've noticed that for some reason when someone shoots me and i shoot that very same person at the same time he shoots me that person doesn't die and i do...I don't understand why that person doesn't die, i shot him, and i know i shot him becuase blood came out when i shot him... I don't know If it's becuase he got the shot of first before or whatever, but i know for damn sure i shot him at the same time he shot me and i don't get the kill... Whats the deal...

its how lag compensation and prediction work in a lot of games.

you may have seen him shoot you at the same time as you shot but in reality he shot you probably as much as 1/4th a second ago.

It happens in most online games, you just notice it when each bullet should kill you. If you were to play death match, and you shot a guy a few times, you would just assume he either just spawned, or had armor. So basically, play lan, or cope with it.

It was even worse in Beta 1.1.
Be thankful for the way it is now. ::) I seldomly notice it.
