just downloaded ges and can not find any server even by putting ip's from ges.net... not sure what to do i don't actually have hl2 but cs:source which uses hl2 files so i thought ges would be the same... in my steam games list its listed as a third-party mod if that might have anything to do with anything... help on how to fix so i can find servers would be greatly appreciated...

There has actually been a great amount of headache lately on valve and their recent updates.
you don't even see the over seas servers?
Myself i see several servers i get 300+ ping in but i also have one in friends which i don't see on the regular list.. but it has people in it.. so I'm guessing that this is still a valve issue, and hopefully will be fixed soon. >.>

i know the game works i can create games fine with only about 15 ping i just can not connect...
-
Non updated servers (the only working ones) dont show in the list. We are waiting on valve to fix the issue.
-
So, you're not seeing ANY servers?
-
no not one...

I see about 25 but cannot connect to them from this issue. Like said, just hold tight and wait for valve to cut us a break!
It will be worth the wait for beta 3 or 3.1 if you dl the patch when the valve issue is resolved before you start playing

so it could take a while then? i;m anxious to see how this is and havn't heard much about it kind of stumbled across it and i used to play ge64 and play cs and css so I think source would be enjoyable

I don't think anyone knows howlong this problem will be, seeing as it IS valve /palmhead. but to put in my word, i think this game is well worth the wait of a week or so to play it ;-) if you loved the n64 version and play cs well then this is your new favorite game to be ;-).

Just need to sit tight and wait for all the valves to get fixed.
That is, until they break something else...
