Title: [VALVE BUG] Create Server is LAN Only
Post by: sturmeh on February 10, 2009, 09:24:03 am
When you create a server from within Goldeneye source, it starts as sv_lan 1, and even when you change it, only Class C clients can join the server.
This makes it impossible to host a temporary server for a couple of friends.

I would go and download the hlsds tools but I'm not that inclined to set up a server for a couple of hours. 1.1 worked fine this matter.

Turn off sv_lan, then use changelevel to make the server check its junk.

open ports on TCP AND UDP, open your server, do as VC says ; changelevel after sv_lan 0 should work. Keep changing maps if you cant succeed, eventually is has to work if you did the two previous steps.
