It lets you reinvent how you move around. (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/305048.html)

What the hell?... That should of been death by fall damage.

I did something similar, but instead of jumping back in, I got shot and fell off :(

Lol! when we spawn at bottom i see TONS of people do that.. but its usually on top of that building and they just ambush from there.

Yeah, if you land on those slanted supports, you don't take as much fall damage.
Personally I just prefer jumping off the regular supports. :)

It's the best thing about cradle, it adds such an edge to moving around. I've been playing cradle nonstop for hours just because of those supports. And there's so much risk involved that it balances itself out. If you fall, you lose a point.

+1 pro strategy

I totally agree, that map is superb for parkour (however unrealistic) as you can fall from many spots and land with half your life and able to surprise the enemy.
The most useful application is escaping a fight you will loose, as opposed to simply suicide ( something a bad sport would do ) you can jump off and land somewhere else, effectively cowering.

I also like Cradle because of the vertigo jumps. I love to jump from the catwalks into the rooftops of the shacks and in the towers, I normally jump from the first floor to the catwalks that connect to the cradle itself. It is one hell of a ride and if you kill someone, you can say that death came from above.

Exactly what I meant. :)

Well i did that a lot on Beta 1.1h in LtK, but with the increased gravity, it's drawing to much health and becourse of the better hit reg, you sometimes end up midair with a bullet in the head (D'OH).

Super Baron!!!

I like sniping people from one of the three towers with my PP7 in LTK.
Still didn't get Octopussy yet. :(
-
:D i love sniping from the bottom to the people walking on the loonnnnng walk to me :D
-
is it bad the pistols are better for sniping than the sniper rifle? maybe a gold sniper rifle is needed.

The sniper rifle is good for sniping, if you can control the recoil and aim properly (not saying you don't know how to use it). The pistols have a great accuracy, but that's only for a question of weapon balance.
If you can properly aim the sniper rifle, I don't think the people with pistols will stand much of a chance at distance.

Accuracy wise sniper and magnum are identicle when shooting from cradle tower to tower.
PP7 is more accurate than Ar33 when shootign at the tower from here, the grouping is way smaller. even when using single slow shots with ar33 so not to recoil much.

But when shooting tower to tower they are about the same.
I like bunnyhopping down the ramps, you can get some insane speeds and do big jumps.
