Title: ERROR - Platform Error: module failed to initialize

I just downloaded and installed GoldenEye:Source Beta 1.0 as well as the Beta 1.1 update. I made sure i had a source game (TF2) and SDK Base.
I restarted steam and started GoldenEye:Source....
I got as far as the 2 intro movies then the game crashed with the following error message - 'Platform Error: module failed to initialize'.  :(
Any ideas because I really want to play it. :)
