great game. armor respawns entirely too quickly. it seriously promotes armor camping. guys start taking fire, and since they make sure they aren't 5 feet from the spawn point, they simply slightly run backwards and reget the same armor they just got 10 seconds ago.
just an astute observation from playing the last few days.

yeah ur right the should make a no armor mode or something or just a vote for that
-
A no armor mode ? NO WAY! it's GoldenEye, and GoldenEye is made of that! you can't change that!

UPDATE: definitely should just increase the armor respawn time. it would also be more faithful to the original yeah? i've noticed how it pops up rather quickly

GE64 at most had 4 players.
GE:S has up to 12 and even more sometimes....

I just want to ask if what is that armor camping all about?

The last post in this topic is over a year old, please don't bump old stuff like this.
They're talking about how in Beta 1.x, armor spawns were dictated by static values in each map's item/weapon loadout file. For example, the standard was a 15-20 second spawn time (I think), which facilitates armor camping. This has been dramatically improved with Beta 3's dynamic spawning system, where weapon/armor spawn times are controlled by the number of players in a server instead of set values.
