Title: Your Desktop
Post by: Shaken not Stirred on April 01, 2008, 03:39:10 am
Yep, just bare wallpaper. I'll start. I think some of the Kubrick fans here might like this one.

Meh, too lazy to hunt down the location where windows saves the desktop bmp, so you're getting the icons. I usually fall asleep watching ncis or the simpsons, so I use dark backgrounds otherwise its like there's a floodlight in my room when the movie ends.

I love Goldeneye so much. This has been my wallpaper for the past few months now. It's the Goldeneye logo from the startup screen, with the background being the texture from the citadel's sky.

That is my left monitor. The right monitor is a widescreen, and just repeats the background but alone. Thankfully it doesn't stretch over both, that would look horrendous.

When I can't find duel monitor wallpapers like in this case. I make a quick photoshop of of the original (on the mac) and put the copy on windows. Since more than once Microsoft has made cheap imitations of something Apple or someone else has done.

Not to be a bad person, but there is already a thread with the same subject (http://forums.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/topic,1815.0.html).

Anyway, I'll post here how I currently have my desktop (http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu65/PPK/desktop1.jpg).

Information: that car is a Renault Megane R26.R, the king of hot hatches and currently the fastest hot hatch that lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with a lap time of 8:17 minutes. One of my favorites cars, thats's for sure

That's one of the reasons I keep my desktop without shortcuts. No more random documents lying around there. Put it all in My Documents and the rest goes elsewhere.

I have subfolders for just about everything. Only programs and certain folders appear on my desktop.
Yet a lot of the time, saves images or videos often end up in their main folders and it becomes a mess...

lol yeah i have the same problem as well... i'll get a nice clean desktop(usually means i'm done with my current projects) then i'll start a new project and bam i'll either have 10 html pages up, or 20.bmp's for a cs 1.6 model  lol thats why i keep changing my desktop lol because i like to use w/e hides my clutter.
