Meh, too lazy to hunt down the location where windows saves the desktop bmp, so you're getting the icons. I usually fall asleep watching ncis or the simpsons, so I use dark backgrounds otherwise its like there's a floodlight in my room when the movie ends.

I really like that pic konrad, ya i hate bright backgrounds too I usually keep them darker too like my windows theme.

I love Goldeneye so much. This has been my wallpaper for the past few months now. It's the Goldeneye logo from the startup screen, with the background being the texture from the citadel's sky.

Not at all.

It makes you terminally 80's.

That is my left monitor. The right monitor is a widescreen, and just repeats the background but alone. Thankfully it doesn't stretch over both, that would look horrendous.

iMac: right monitor

Dell XPS: left monitor
(http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3527/3208431063_91dff09834_b.jpg)
When I can't find duel monitor wallpapers like in this case. I make a quick photoshop of of the original (on the mac) and put the copy on windows. Since more than once Microsoft has made cheap imitations of something Apple or someone else has done.

That's a standard feature of Windows Vista. It functions kinda like Mac Widgets.

Not to be a bad person, but there is already a thread with the same subject (http://forums.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/topic,1815.0.html).
Anyway, I'll post here how I currently have my desktop (http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu65/PPK/desktop1.jpg).
Information: that car is a Renault Megane R26.R, the king of hot hatches and currently the fastest hot hatch that lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with a lap time of 8:17 minutes. One of my favorites cars, thats's for sure
-
I like a clean desktop, so just things I use/ working on.

It has to live forever. After all, it's a "Show your desktop" thread. No forum can live without it.

I'm horrible with keeping my desktop clean. I'll get it cleared out and then a week later it's a mess again. I just don't try anymore. :P

That's one of the reasons I keep my desktop without shortcuts. No more random documents lying around there. Put it all in My Documents and the rest goes elsewhere.
-
I have subfolders for just about everything. Only programs and certain folders appear on my desktop.
Yet a lot of the time, saves images or videos often end up in their main folders and it becomes a mess...
-
Tha's the problem. I also have a lot of subfolders. I always keep things outside my desktop; I like to see my background to it's full extent.

lol yeah i have the same problem as well... i'll get a nice clean desktop(usually means i'm done with my current projects) then i'll start a new project and bam i'll either have 10 html pages up, or 20.bmp's for a cs 1.6 model lol thats why i keep changing my desktop lol because i like to use w/e hides my clutter.

Windows 7... Now there's a thing I won't be getting on a near future. I feel comfortable enough with my XP.

This is my desktop
http://ryanlobbins.com/ryan/desktop.jpg
I could technically enable my tv too since its hooked up to it via hdmi so instead of 3200x1080 it would be 5120x1080 haha but I don't wanna do that atm.
-
Holy crap! That's some monstrous resolution. It makes my 17'' LCD cry!
That must be a monster computer you have there too. Mind posting your specs?
Here's my desktop at the moment: click this and you'll see (http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu65/PPK/desktop2.jpg).
-
Well atm i have a dual monitor set up, my old lcd sitting to the left is (i think its a 15") 1280x1024 and my new 23" 16:9 is 1920x1080 and then I have my 52 inch tv hooked up through hdmi so I can swap to that display when I want to stream and watch vids on my tv, or play games.
-
Thanks, but I meant the rest of the hardware, like CPU, GPU, etc.

@Ryan: HOLY SHIT! That's one hell of a computer. It must eat electricity like it's going out of fashion, but it wipes out nearly anything you can make up. May I ask how much did it cost? Just to make a comparison with the prices from this side of the Atlantic.
